I’m running for reelection to the Prior Lake-Savage School Board because one year in this role has only reinforced why I ran in the first place.

Being a board member means governing with the other six people elected to sit beside you, not just advocating for what you believe. This year has tested that. I’ve voted for a levy amount that reflects what our district actually needs, for a budget built on real numbers, and for staffing decisions that were difficult but necessary. I’ve also learned that good governance sometimes means holding a position even when the room moves off it.

Public education in Minnesota faces real pressure, from funding that hasn’t kept pace with inflation to a community that deserves honest answers instead of noise. I want to keep doing the work: showing up, asking hard questions, and making decisions based on what our students and staff actually need. That’s what I’ve done this year, and it’s what I’ll keep doing if reelected.

I will work with our district, for our students. As members of the Prior Lake-Savage community, we are in this together. And together we can achieve great things!

Hi, I’m Dustin!
